Upgrading rooms for working from home and kids schooling from home has undoubtedly been a hot topic and high on the wish lists we’re seeing.
This calming space was designed with and styled by Arran & Hadley Interiors. The aim was to offer the children a lovely place to do their homework not too far from the parents’ home office or the kitchen. The bespoke furniture maximises the space available creating a fabulously long desk from wall to wall so that the children can spread out books, laptops, writing papers, and all their snazzy stationary.
Beautifully crafted storage separates the desk spaces to minimise sibling squabbles. Look closely here to see that we made the bank of drawers so that grain patterns in the wood are continuous across all the drawer fronts. Really pretty.
Plenty of natural light floods in through the windows, which can be managed easily with the shutters and enhanced and using wall lights.
A few choice pieces of decor to bring some joy - plants, books, and bowls, plus the soft colouring and shape of the chairs and that’s a wrap.
