Shere Kitchens is a truly bespoke kitchen maker that designs, handcrafts and fits its own kitchens. Shere Kitchens was established by Andy Driscoll, Mike Hill and Ella Driscoll, fulfilling a long-held dream of combining a love of beautiful design, natural materials and a desire for fine craftsmanship to create a business offering luxury handmade wood kitchens.
Shere Kitchens designs are completely tailor-made from start to finish. Unlike most kitchen firms where you meet with a designer who then passes on the plans to the manufacturers, the team at Shere Kitchens offers a fully integrated process from design to installation. In a collaborative process, you are encouraged to explore showpieces, materials, portfolio and mood boards, to come with a wish list, to talk through your way of life, what you like to cook, how you live and entertain. The Shere Kitchens approach is to work together with you to develop and hone a design that is truly inspirational and unique to you, which is distinctive and personalised as well as exceptionally made.
Over the years the Shere Kitchens team has built a strong reputation for cabinetry and joinery of exceptional quality, having worked on Surrey Hills Grade I and II listed homes, including Albury Manor Estate. The team recognised that their outstanding craftsmanship skills and superb attention to detail combined with a flair for design were the perfect ingredients for a bespoke handmade kitchen business. In 2017 they decided to focus their business purely on the design, handcrafting and installation of luxury kitchens.

The team grew up in the Surrey Hills area and have a deep love of the local landscape - from walking their dogs to exploring the chalk grasslands, letting their children run wild in the woods and enjoying the local vineyards. Unsurprisingly, they view sustainability and appreciation for the local environment high among their values, as illustrated by the planting of trees at Clandon nature reserve for every kitchen they make and the sourcing of wood and materials locally where possible. Re-useable protection blankets are used to transport cabinetry rather than disposable plastic, and they donate off-cuts to a local Design Technology college. Shere Kitchens were delighted to receive the Trade Mark Surrey Hills award in 2018. The prestigious accreditation celebrates those organisations that reflect and support the distinct and special nature of the Surrey Hills and who share the values of supporting the local environment.
Shere Kitchens is based in the idyllic village of Shere, just outside of Guildford. You are welcome to arrange a visit to the workshop to meet the team, to see some of their cabinetry and craftsmanship in action. Witness the details such as dovetail joints, solid bespoke Oak worktops, the stunning grains in the wood - features that make these kitchen makers one of a kind.
Shere Kitchens is one of the outstanding Surrey organisations to be awarded the Trade Mark Surrey Hills - an accreditation and mark of local provenance and quality.
The award promotes the very best of what Surrey has to offer and celebrates those organisations of high quality that reflect and support the distinct and special nature of the Surrey Hills and who share the values of supporting the local environment.
The Rt Hon Michael Gove MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs said: "The Surrey Hills Trade Mark awards play an important role in celebrating the high-quality products and services the area is renowned for, and the awardees all deserve our congratulations."
Shere Kitchens have also been awarded The Gold Trade Mark Surrey Hills. The Gold Trade Mark was awarded to Shere Kitchens and to Clandon Wood Nature Reserve and recognises their collaboration and active support for nature conservation connecting two populations of the rare butterfly.
