A visit to Shere Kitchens in Shere Village, Guildford, Surrey isn't just about bespoke cabinetry, worktops, and handles; it's an opportunity to immerse yourself in the quintessential English experience.

Parking in Shere Village

If you're going to visit Shere village by car, please use the village car park (postcode GU5 9JF). It's off Upper Street, by the recreation ground, it's is free to use but note that it is often busy. 

A village stroll

You can start with a walk along the Tillingbourne River. Let the gentle flow of water guide you through to see ponies, sheep and woodlands. Shere itself is like a living postcard, with chocolate-box houses telling tales of times gone by as you wander its little lanes.

Shopping in Shere

There is a tapestry of super shops. A trekking shop, an art gallery, and some really beautiful gift, homewares and lifestyle shops including Cuckoo Corner, Split Figs and Shere Pottage. 

Eating in Shere

There are plenty of places to enjoy some food. For a quick pit stop, you can nip into Shere Delights for confectioneries, ice creams, and hot takeaway drinks.

If you're looking for lunch, Shere has some beautiful independent cafes including The Dabbling Duck and Hilly's Tea Shop. Both serve up scrumptious sandwiches and, of course, cakes. Hillys is famed for its homemade scones with cream and jam.

The White Horse pub is a Grade II listed pub which was featured in the film 'The Holiday,' offering pub fare. There's also the William Bray and The William IV Pub.

For a refined dining experience steeped in history, Kinghams Restaurant offers contemporary English cuisine within a 17th-century embrace.

Culture and Nature 

Dive into Shere's rich heritage with a visit to St James's Church, which dates back to the 13th century, or the quaint Shere Museum. Just up the road you can stop and explore Newlands Corner, the Silent Pool with Gin Distillery and Albury Vineyard, surrounded by the natural splendors of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Visiting us is by appointment only, Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. We're based on Burrows Lea Farm, Hook Lane, on the edge of the village, with parking on site.
