We’re a small team, loving what we do, making kitchens. Every project is designed over many months, sometimes years, and each one is made individually. It’s very special, both for us and the owners.
We’ve come a long way … Realising that becoming rock and roll stars might not be happening, Andy started making furniture as a teen from his parents’ garage; and Mike learnt plastering and went on to manage house renovations. Ella studied Economics and enjoyed a career in Market Research. Many years later, it is such a honour to be working together with a talented team of designers, bench joiners and cabinet makers, stonemasons and painters ~ and to be featured in the Jubilee edition of Surrey Life magazine, heading up the Homes and Gardens section.
We’ve dreamed of making cabinetry special enough to be featured in magazines, and Surrey Life is so special being all about Surrey where we grew up, live and work! A really beautiful magazine, bursting with tips on where to eat and drink, local walks and events, and hidden gems in Surrey. They have featured a corner from our Winterfold kitchen, boot and utility project which was custom-made by our cabinet makers. The Oak letter rack is one of my favourite details from this project. The owner requested it, and what a great idea it is. We always find ourselves opening post in the kitchen, and it’s lovely to have a pretty place to put them rather than in a pile on the worktop.
