Panelling in the kitchen

Panelling in the kitchen

2 minute read

Why did we include panelling in the kitchen?

Panelling is such a lovely way of adding texture, interest and character. Although we've been including panelling in our projects for years, apparently it's having a bit of a moment 'trending'.

Tongue and Groove Panelling

The panelling above the sink in this bespoke kitchen was custom made to order to fit the space perfectly, so that the artwork and lights could be placed exactly as the homeowner wanted. We used tongue and groove panelling because it is luxurious, stylish and suits this traditional but clean kitchen design.

  • Painted in pared back soft neutral - School House White by Farrow and Ball.
  • With a classic ceramic Shaws of Darwin sink
  • And aged brass Perrin and Rowe taps to complete the timeless look in this custom kitchen design. The smaller tap is the mini-instant hot water tap.

Raised and Fielded Panelling

In a Georgian property we're currently working in, raised and fielded panelling in the kitchen has been designed to highlight the high ceilings, big windows and grand nature of the Georgian architecture. It's an iconic style, with classic elegance. Images coming soon.

Scandi Style Panelling

At our showroom in Shere near Guildford, we have a 'nature wall' which provides more of a Scani look to the design area. We installed it to help with the acoustics of our space - which can be useful in large open-plan rooms.

We individually design and custom make our kitchens to order. If you'd like to discuss your kitchen extension or renovation plans, we'd be delighted to meet with you at our showroom in Shere, Guildford, Surrey.
