It was a ‘pinch ourselves’ moment as one of our kitchens is featured on the Domus website; next to projects for the London School of Economics and the Tate Modern.
At the heart of the development of The Dene Kitchen was a desire to create a place for real relaxation, luxurious and comfortable in style with swathes of completely customised storage. Both the splashback and floor tiles were key considerations in the kitchen design …
A playful splashback
White Domus’ Biscuit tiles were chosen for the splashback with plain, textured patterned and 3D surfaces. Both fun and contemporary these tiles are such a pretty addition to this classic kitchen in a country-style property.
Warm and practical floor tiles
Oak flooring is a timeless choice and an easy way to bring in warmth into a kitchen. This project incorporated the Domus’ soft oak-coloured porcelain Provoak floor tiles. For this household the tiles offer the best of both worlds by introducing the beautiful natural patterns and tones of wood as well as being hard-wearing and anti-slip. Zero-maintenance was a key factor here as these tiles are so easy to clean and almost impossible to damage – an important consideration with gorgeous pups in the house.
