Country Homes and Interiors Magazine, July 2024, featured the home of interior designer Belle Hadley, in leafy Surrey, including plenty of beautiful images of her custom-made kitchen, utility and boot room cabinetry.
The editorial is called 'Moments of Calm' and it couldn't be more apt for this stunning kitchen extension and full home renovation. Belle was crystal clear on her vision for a light and airy vibe, with a touch of South African style and East Coast American influences. And we couldn't have been happier to oblige with some very special Oak cabinetry.
The editorial described the kitchen as Belle's dream kitchen, which made our day. Belle said:
"I began designing this kitchen years before we started the renovation. It brings together elements from favourite design projects I worked on in the US, but also takes inspiration from South African living and homes I've seen on my travels. I knew exactly what I wanted and [Shere Kitchens] had the expertise and skills to make my vision come to life. It was a lovely collaborative experience."
Indoor-outdoor living was especially key to making the kitchen feel homely, tranquil and grounded. The kitchen doors open onto the patio, a beautiful spot with pizza oven, barbecue, and extra-long table with benches as they love to host friends and family. They cook outside all year round, and the patio is surrounded by landscaped gardens.
The editorial piece highlights how beautifully the interior design is with earthy tones, neautrals that are layered, ceramics, & treasured art. The pieces are personal, but as Belle says, she wanted the house to: 'hold memories' but 'be paired back enough' to allow them to unwind after a busy day.
It was an absolute pleasure to work for Belle on her kitchen, utility, boot room, family room and home office. If you'd like to discuss your own home renovation, we'd love to meet with you at our showroom to discuss your plans.
