This bespoke kitchen was designed in collaboration with the owners - a family in Richmond Upon Thames for their townhouse renovation. The design included custom made cabinetry for the open plan kitchen, dining area and utility. Elegant with easy living vibes, this refined white kitchen has lots of custom storage, food prep areas and places to sit with family and friends.
Making the most of the space is critical to kitchen design. Before thinking about where to put appliances and cupboards, the actual architecture needs to be carefully considered. The owners came to us at the early stages of planning their project so we were able to consider numerous ground floor layout options, so that we could fit in everything they wanted without compromise. Architectural beams, window and internal wall positions were all configured to allow the kitchen, dining and utility cabinetry to be functional as well as beautiful. With the architectural plans in place, the kitchen and utility were then designed and made to make the most of the space, with full height cabinetry from floor to ceiling, drawers within drawers and customised internals in the pantry, breakfast cupboard and bar cabinet.
The Aga was an essential for this perfect family home, and doesn’t it look beautiful here. The custom-made bolection mouldings on the door and drawer fronts are decorative and distinctive providing clean lines in this timeless yet contemporary design.
Zoning an open plan area is critical to the kitchen, dining and living areas working; both for daily living and when entertaining friends. The kitchen space where the family prep and cook food is well-defined by the Island. While, the dining area with bar cabinet has low level cabinetry and more decorative lighting.
The Townhouse Kitchen was designed with the owners so that it works perfectly for them, their home and lifestyle. It was a joy to design, make and fit.
