We are proud to present our original kitchen – The Shere Kitchen – a bespoke handmade wood kitchen, crafted at our workshop in Shere, near Guildford, Surrey.
The Shere Kitchen range pays homage to the beautiful and unique Surrey Hills. We have incorporated subtle design touches that on their own may pass you by, but when married together exude luxury and make this kitchen equally designed for living and entertaining, to be enjoyed for years to come.
The Shere Kitchen is our truly bespoke kitchen and we are happy to tailor any element to your preference
DOORS: This kitchen has a luxurious in-frame style with beautiful panelled doors which we make from maple or tulip wood and hang on solid butt hinges. A subtle profile moulding is crafted into the doors to add a depth and texture that help give this kitchen elegance and flow.
There is a mix of solid Shaker-style cabinetry with an entire feature wall of floor to ceiling larder units so everything has a home. Inspired by one of our previous designs, a bespoke elegant pattern was selected for the wall-to-wall cabinetry.
The floor to ceiling doors could also be made as a bank of Shaker-style cupboards housing your fridge, freezer, larder cupboards, wine rack, and even with an internal tea and toast making countertop to keep everything organised without imposing on your living space.
CUPBOARDS: Our cupboards are always designed to withstand the test of time and can be given a natural or a painted finish.
DRAWERS: Our drawers can be made in a range of solid hardwoods of your personal choosing. Dovetail joints are both strong and beautiful, so we use them for all our drawer boxes.
HANDLES & KNOBS: We have a selection of favourites in various finishes. We understand they are such a personal touch and we will source and fit handles and knobs of your choice.
WORKTOPS: In the ‘Shere Kitchen’ range we offer custom worktops. Block staved worktops are wonderfully well matched with the Shaker style, they suit the utility look.
We also offer a complete range of bespoke wood work surfaces which are only three or four boards wide and therefore have even more of a solid, grounded and chunky feel. Most importantly our custom worktops show off the beauty of the wood's grain.
A mix and match approach to worktops with wood in some areas and with granite or silestone in others can work brilliantly in a kitchen – offering different surfaces for different tasks; and also introducing more texture and colour.
